Toby Nelms is eight years old. He had had a routine operation, and everything went fine. Toby is now back home- and his life is filled with terror. Months have passed since the operation but Toby continually bursts into tortured screams. Something is very wrong. Toby relives every horrifying detail of the surgery- all the trauma, all the pain- while he's awake. Now neurosurgeon Zack Iverson must discover why Toby can remember every moment of the operation and what terrible secret is being hidden by the hospital where Toby was a patient. And Toby isn't the only one who is experiencing this terror.
