Over thirty years Bernd Kerkin has created an oeuvre that is multi-faceted but never haphazard. His art practice includes a highly diverse visual language and techniques; his themes and inspiration are expansive - travel impressions, diverse cultures, even works by other artists. In his works - figurative or abstract, printmaking, painting, ceramics - he examines the object in hand at great depth, translating this into his own, unique, visual language.
