Arthur is a novel about the greatest and most famous defending warrior in the annals of history by an author who studied Arthurian History at Oxford, UK, and did further research for nearly 10 years afterward. The author is convinced that one of the warriors considered for the real Arthur by scholars is Ambrosius Aurelius, a Romano-British man, who was written of in heroic terms by Gildas, a sixth century Celtic priest historian. For lack of documentation savaged by barbarians, a novel had to be written, based upon plausible documentation extant, to flesh out the story. The author refused to go the way of the romancers who concocted their stories, based upon speculation, and made up her mind to piece together a true picture of Arthur, the man loved by people everywhere who prayerfully hope for his return.
